Your life is not lying in wait in the future like a wild animal or some ominous destiny. Nor is it hidden in the heavens, like a paradise or promise. Nor is it shut up in the cave or the prison of your past. It is here and now; it is what you live and what you do. At the heart of being; at the heart of the present; at the heart of everything – in the great current of life, of reality.

Dave's friend, Ed, helped him with the cabin this weekend - the gable ends are finished which means all the logs are now up!! Dave put a couple walls up on Sunday - you'll see in one of the pictures that Nic, Luc and Aubree helped him!:) My dad and I took the kids to Wildwood for the day - they love helping with the cabin. I took them swimming at the pool, too, so they had a fun day.
*
This weekend I get to be Dave's helper - we'll be putting up the walls on the first floor. It will be fun to see the rooms laid out!

~Tooth Fairy~

Brenna lost her 7th tooth the other day! The tooth fairy put two half dollars under her pillow - she was very excited.

My sister and I took the kids to my parent's vacation home in Arkansas in June and we made a visit to the Rocky Ridge Refuge - they rescue exotic and common animals in need. It is, also, the home of Lurch, an African Watusi steer. Lurch is the Guinness Record holder for the largest circumference of horns of any animal in the world!! His horn circumference is 38" around and 7 feet 6 inches tip to tip!! Wow! It was really cool to see! They have lots of other animals there, too. It was a fun day.
*
We, also, took the kids out on the boat while we were in Arkansas - they had a great time. We plan on going to Arkansas one more time this summer - it's a LONG drive but it's worth it!

Enjoy the pictures!

The cabin is looking good! We now have 15 rows of logs up!! I helped Dave on Sat. - we got the porch post and beams up. Dave new "crane" worked out great! On Sunday my cousin, Mikey, helped Dave put up 3 rows of logs. So, next weekend, Dave and his friend, Ed, will be putting the gables up. I can't wait to see how it looks after that!
*
Dave LOVES building this cabin - he can't wait to get there every weekend! And our friends and family have been great about helping us out! We've been lucky enough to get someone there every weekend so far - thank you so much to Bob, Dan, my dad, John and Mikey!
*
We see tons of deer at Wildwood - I took a picture of a baby and her mama. We love watching the wildlife there - we've even seen turkeys w/ their babies and foxes.

~New Family Member~

Scarlet

*
This is the newest addition to our family! Her name is Scarlet - she is a 13 year old dachshund. She was going to be sent to a shelter so we rescued her and she is very happy w/ us and we, of course, love her! The girls are having so much fun w/ her but Huxy and Rascal (our other dachshunds) are still trying to figure out what the heck she's doing here! I'm sure they will get used to her soon - I hope!

We had an awesome weekend at Wildwood! The girls said it was the best "vacation" ever! We camped out on our lot and the girls loved sleeping in the tent. We had a firepit and roasted marshmellows. Saturday morning Wildwood had a parade so the girls decorated their bicycles and rode in the parade - the girls looked so cute!! Saturday night we went to the fireworks at the Wildwood Dam so we went a little early to find a good spot and while we waited we played socer and and then washers. The fireworks were great! Sunday morning my friend, Julie, brought her girls to Wildwood and we took the kids to the Wildwood pool. The girls love the diving board! It was a wonderful weekend!
Part of our front porch was put up - it's so nice and big!
