Your life is not lying in wait in the future like a wild animal or some ominous destiny. Nor is it hidden in the heavens, like a paradise or promise. Nor is it shut up in the cave or the prison of your past. It is here and now; it is what you live and what you do. At the heart of being; at the heart of the present; at the heart of everything – in the great current of life, of reality.

~Homeschool Halloween Day~

The girls had so much fun at homeschool group. We had a halloween party so they were excited to wear their costumes! Everyone brought in halloween treats - everything was yummy! Today for the Think Challenge the kids were given an apple and toothpicks. The challenge was to carve the apple using only the toothpicks and their teeth - fun! The kids, also, had fun making up a couple stories together. At the end of class they played a couple games and did some dancing. It was a great day!

~Pumpkin Patch~

We went to a pumpkin patch today to pick out a few pumpkins and after that we went home to rake leaves. We had a big pile and Brenna had a great time jumping in them. Aubree eventually came outside to help us bag all the leaves and we all ended up have a leaf fight - we had leaves in our hair and down our shirts. Since we were all in on the fight we have no pictures but we had so much fun!! It was a great day!

~Field Trip~

We had a homeschool field trip last week - Autumn Tales in the Woods! The kids roasted marshmallows, they heard some fun stories and they took a fun walk in the woods. It was rainy and cold but we still had a great time!

~Brenna turns 9~

I can't believe Brennie is nine years old already!! She is such a great girl - we are so lucky to have her!

~Homeschool Group~

Homeschool group is going great this year. The kids do a Think! Challenge at every meeting - they are given different items and then are told what to make out of them but they aren't told HOW to make it! They have to think it through and I love seeing how they all come up with different ways to complete their challenge.

The kids, also, did an archeology dig - the girls really enjoyed it. The girls are both in the homeschool photography and book clubs, too.

We love homeschooling!!!
