Your life is not lying in wait in the future like a wild animal or some ominous destiny. Nor is it hidden in the heavens, like a paradise or promise. Nor is it shut up in the cave or the prison of your past. It is here and now; it is what you live and what you do. At the heart of being; at the heart of the present; at the heart of everything – in the great current of life, of reality.

~Summer Fun~

~Winston Churchill~

"I am always ready to learn, but I do not always like being taught." -Winston Churchill

This quote reminds me of my Brenna Boo - she loves to learn but, sometimes, alot of the time, she doesn't want to be taught. She likes to figure things out on her own and I'm okay with that - in fact, I love that about her.

~4th of July~

We had a great time at our cabin w/ family and friends!

~Like Mother, Like Son~

My sister is a complete germaphobe and I have proof that she is passing it onto her kids!! My sister and I were sitting in her living room watching the kids play outside in the front yard when the garbage man came to pick up the recycling. Next thing we know Luc is coming out of the garage with brown paper towels on his hands to take in the recycling bins for his mommy!! I had my camera in the car so I ran outside to take some pictures, asked him about the paper towels and he told me that he didn't want to catch any germs. He's 5 years old!! Like mother, like son!!

~Wisconsin Dells~

In June we went to Wisconsin Dells w/ my sister and her boys. We all had a great time!

~Art & Science in the Woods~

Brenna took a week long art & science camp w/ her friend Chloe. It is truly an amazing camp. The kids pick a major that they want to study for the week but they, also, get to pick four minors that they work on each day, too. The classes are incredible! Brenna had such a great time! On Friday night the kids were able to bring their families back to the camp to see everything they had done for the week so we really enjoyed that. Brenna can't wait to take the camp next year and Aubree will be old enough to take it, too!

~Freeze Time~

We've had a great summer - I'm just sad that it's already coming to an end! It just amazes me how fast the days go - I wish I could freeze time! I wish these years w/ my girls could last forever! I try to cherish every minute I get to spend w/ them because I know that it won't last forever. All too soon they will be grown up and moving onto their own lives.

I love this Robert Brault quote:

"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
